Font Border

I am using Gimp v.2 and I don't know how to create the border like in this userbar

Is it a font or is there a way to make a border around it. I tried the font size for Vistor 1 &2 and the normal visitor. All thosefont sizes do not change anything or make a border but it does make the font bigger and smaller. Please tell me how to make a border!

you need to make the font white and then  use a stroke only 1 pix thou in black to creat the white with black boarder font
