Standard UB size??

The tutorial here says that the UBs are 350x20 pixels, but some here say it is 350x19.  Which is correct?  Why the change in size?  And why not varying heights?

Some say x20 some say x19, most people sue x19, but since you have one pixel mroe to work with, some people use x20, but i don't really understand how one pixel helps. What ever you choose stick to it

Greets Blayde.  I see you on other threads telling people to reduce the size to 19 pixels, but now you are saying I can do 20?  Hmmm.... it's just one pixel anyway, right?

I think I like this "slightly bigger" format, so that not much detail is lost on bevelling and such effects.

Are there any "even bigger" formats used?

What i say is i would personally recommend 19 pixels, but im not here to force anything on you, its your choice in the end. Wherever else i said it, i meant it in a sort of 'this is better cos more people use it' way.

I see.  I was worried there might be reasons like some sites limiting image size or something like that.  Thanks!

I use 350x19 pixels because when you put the stroke around the text it becomes an odd number of pixels in height. with 19 pixels you can center it perfectly but with 20 pixels you have 1 px above or below making the bar off center and unbalanced

I use 350x20.
I dunno why, just I like it being an even resoultion.

Look closely @ a 19 & 20 ht bar & u will see that the 20 looks way bigger then the 19.  Well thats what I see when I look @ 2
