First make you document and all the layers you want to animate, then in Photoshop do fil>save for web and save it at the best gif quality possible
(choose gif 128 and change number of colors to 256)

Then click the edit in imageready button, do all your animation and then do file>save optimized and it should be saving as a gif file Smiley

After this delete the original photoshop file that you saved in gif, its just that whatever has last been saved in web if taken over to imageready applies and doesnt let you save in anything else

I find it easier to do it all in photoshop, and leave imageready out of the equation. Photoshop CS2 is capable of managing the entire process of making animated images.

It's easy - I create the basic elements of the static userbar as you normally would - background, image, text etc, and then do it all in the animation palette.

Take my "click here to see my work" bar for example. I created the static userbar, then in the animation palette I made the first frame so that the word "click" was at the far right side and the rest of the text was invisible. Then I duplicated that frame and moved the word "click" to the far left and the word "here" to the far right. I repeated this process with all the words then tweened frame 1 to the next frame, adding 10 frames. This created a smooth slide for the word "click" across the bar.

Then I repeated that step again for the words "here" "to see" and "my work". Simple.

vrsniper, all you need to do is make a new layer, then use the circular selection tool and make a selection with only the bottom part of the circle at the top of the bar (elongated to look like the shine) and then fill that selection with white, and lower opacity, thats it
